A motorcyclist has died after colliding with a suspected stolen car in Melbourne's north-east overnight.
Police said a BMW and a Mazda were reported stolen from an address in Coonans Street in Pascoe Vale South about 11.40pm yesterday.
It is alleged that a short time later the BMW crashed into a motorcycle at the intersection of Bell and Victoria streets in Preston about 12.40am.

The two occupants from the BMW allegedly ran from the scene.
Officers performed CPR on the male rider but he could not be saved.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested after a short search of the area.
He is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
