Pair charged with murder of man found stabbed outside Melbourne BP

Two men will face court today charged with the murder of a man found with stab wounds outside a service station in south-east Melbourne.

Police said the 39-year-old man, who died on August 18, knew his alleged attackers.

That morning, Detective Inspector Dead Thomas said police had been on patrol along the Princes Highway in Dandenong when they saw the man collapse outside the BP on the corner of Potter Street about 4.50am.

Police said paramedics treated the man for "a number of stab wounds", possibly suffered minutes earlier in a nearby unit, but he died at the scene.

Yesterday morning, police raided addresses in Doveton, Blackburn South and Endeavour Hills, arresting a 27-year-old Doveton man and a 34-year-old Blackburn South man, who were later charged with murder.

A 33-year-old Endeavour Hills woman was arrested and interviewed before she was released pending further inquiries.

The men will face Melbourne Magistrates Court today.
